Why Coinbase International
Coinbase International Exchange (CIEX) is the institutional-grade derivatives arm of Coinbase, offering USDC-settled perpetual contracts to non-US customers. V23's signal framework was purpose-built for CIEX for three reasons: USDC settlement (no coin-margined complexity), regulatory clarity (Coinbase is the most regulated crypto exchange in the US, and CIEX operates under CIMA regulation in the Cayman Islands), and asset availability (all five core V23 assets — BTC, ETH, SOL, XRP, DOGE, TAO — are available as USDC-settled perpetuals on CIEX).
USDC Settlement: Why It Matters
USDC-settled perpetuals mean your margin, unrealized P&L, and realized P&L are all denominated in USDC — a USD-pegged stablecoin. This eliminates the "coin-margined" problem where your margin value fluctuates with the underlying asset. On a coin-margined BTC contract, a BTC price decline erodes both your trade P&L and your margin value simultaneously — a double-negative that amplifies losses. On a USDC-settled contract, your margin value is stable; only your trade P&L changes with price.
Account Setup Overview
Coinbase International is available to non-US residents who complete KYC verification. The account types include retail and institutional tiers with different leverage limits. V23 signals are calibrated for standard retail tier specifications — if you have a higher-leverage institutional account, the invalidation levels and position sizing principles in signal cards still apply; adjust your leverage to ensure the invalidation hit equals exactly your defined risk amount (1R).
